Magazine experiment

http://jakandjil.com
We have probably stumbled across this site many times, I'm sure.
I'm playing around on photoshop trying to produce a magazine, or at least learning. As Jak & Jil is my favourite blog I wanted to feature them in my work:
What do you guys think? Any advice? Does it look Magazineish ;)
P.S I know there are a few spelling mistakes, I will retouch on that when I have the time.

To be or not to be?
Most of us by now are aware about the negative issues towards meat. Campaigns, articles, adverts, you name it are all talking about the issues of eating meat and the cruelty behind it. It's almost turned into a FAD. Well at least we are trying to make a difference. To me its not just about the suffering of animals. Many things are linked - from health to greediness. I have to say I have been brought up a vegetarian all my life, but have tried the odd burger, of course most vegetarians have! It all comes down to experience. I don't eat it because I've been so used to not eating meat at a daily basis. So really its an advantage because I'm not "addicted" or think I have to eat it as there are many substitutes for protein as well as healthier.
My reason for this post is really to give people awareness about becoming a vegetarian. People who are thinking of trying to make a difference to themselves and to the animals. Of course it's completely your choice. You might think the whole idea is ridiculous, but many people are trying new things everyday. You might want your children to turn vegetarian or even vegan! Try it and see if its a better lifestyle. You never know anything unless you experience it. Just like me with the burger :)
If you have read this post and you are thinking of becoming veggie, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
Thank you.
